One of my favourite ever songs this one - and pretty straightforward on the ukulele. Written by Nick Lowe and performed by Brinsley Schwarz.
The trick on this is to get that [G] [D] [C] pattern rocking as it appears throughout. Hold on the G, then move from the D to C much quicker. There is a video at the end you can play along with in the same key.

I find a G-5sus4add9 (drop the D & B notes in the G chord to open C and A) (thanks "NutChords") sounds good to replace the D to C
ReplyDeletebit... Drop them, hammer them on and repeat.
I hope this makes sense, it's easier than it is to type out!
Thanks so much for this chord sheet! This is one of my all time favorite songs, and I'm learning to rock out on it. Once I got the basic chords and rhythm I started playing a D-du-uDD with the capital Ds (downstrokes) on the chord changes in the GDC pattern .
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion - one of the greatest songs ever written!
